Tenuta della Selva

The Tenuta della Selva is located about 15 km from Siena. This is an area of great naturalistic interest that separates and joins the Val d’Arbia with the Via Francigena (the ‘route’ that led emperors, merchants and pilgrims to Rome); and the Val di Merse with the Via del Mare towards the pastures and ports of Grosseto and the Maremma.

At the centre of the ancient village is the aristocratic Villa built between the 20th and 15th centuries as the residence of an illustrious Sienese family, the Tolomei Pucci Sansedoni.

The space dedicated to ceremonies is the garden, partly shaded and half covered by soft natural moss. In the same park is the consecrated church built in the 15th century, suitable for small ceremonies.

The entire park can host 70-80 people, outdoors or in marquees in case of bad weather. Seasons such as late spring, summer and early autumn are preferred, as there are no heated indoor venues.

The organisation of the catering and music service is up to those involved in the ceremony, but our staff is available to collaborate and create a perfect party atmosphere.

The Tenuta della Selva farmhouse offers accommodation in flats that can accommodate 2, 3, 4-6 people and are 4 km from the main village. They are reached by following a charming, well-maintained gravel road for 3 km. In the period from May to the beginning of October, the panoramic swimming pool in the midst of nature is open and will make guests’ stay unforgettable.
